Whatever time you visited, God would be there. That’s what children will discover in Overton Vacation Bible School’s Time Lab.
In Time Lab, lessons will use music, drama and science experiments to bring the Bible’s story of the world to life. The free bible school is for children in preschool through fifth grade. It will be 6:15-9 p.m. on July 8-12. The bible school is sponsored by Overton’s First Christian, Holy Rosary Catholic, and First United Methodist churches.
The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on July 8 with a barbecue for families at the Overton First Christian Church, 601 C St. Children may register at the barbecue, or pre-register at myvbs.org/OvertonVBS. Shively said participants must have completed a year of preschool.
After July 8, check-in and registration will be 6 p.m. each night at the Christian church, followed by the opening assembly at 6:15 p.m. Preschoolers will then move to the Methodist church, while other age groups will travel among the three churches for lessons, games, snacks and crafts. Each night will end back at the Christian church, with the closing assembly.
