Nobody want to think about violence taking place in our Schools, Workplace, Church or large public venues.  Unfortunately it has become an all too familiar occurrence in today’s world,  The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office in Cooperation with Central community College of Lexington have teamed up to offer this free training seminar for you to attend.

Several areas will be covered in a classroom setting to include, but not limited to:

  • How to respond to an active threat
  • How to increase your chance of survival during an active threat
  • What to expect when law enforcement responds
  • The importance of communication and reporting
  • Formulating a “Threat Assessment Team”
  • How to identify signs for potential violence
  • Situational awareness and potential warning signs
