The 2019 Military Convoy will depart on August 10, from York, PA, the site of the 2019 MVPA Annual Convention and conduct an official Convoy launch from York, PA. They will drive to Gettysburg and spend 2 nights then head west from there.
Some 36 days and over 3,200 miles, the Convoy will arrive on Saturday, September 14 at Lincoln Park in San Francisco, just as the US Army Convoy did in 1919.

Vegetable Garden Tour FlierNebraska Extension Vegetable Garden Tour August 29th in North Platte!
Looking for vegetable gardens that work? Come to the Nebraska Extension Vegetable Garden Tour, 7:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, Thursday, August 29, at the Nebraska Extension Office, 348 W. State Farm Road, in North Platte.
This garden is part of the “Growing Together Nebraska” grant program through Nebraska Extension to raise produce for local food pantries in North Platte. Nebraska Extension horticulture and foods educators will share easy-to-use tips at home. Extension Master Gardeners helped plan, raise, maintain and harvest produce out of this garden. Topics covered at the tour will cover variety selection, home composting, use of mulch, and how to prepare different vegetables that the whole family will enjoy.
Here is a great opportunity to learn about the different vegetable varieties that were chosen and raised in the garden. Visit with Extension Master Gardeners who work with in this garden by maintaining this garden, what aspects have been successful, and which areas of the garden will be improved for next year.
While there is no charge for this program, please RSVP by Tuesday, August 27th, to the Nebraska Extension Office by calling 308-532-2683 to ensure enough handouts and samples for all program participants.
