Sasse Staff to Hold Mobile Office in Custer County @ Custer County Judicial Center Hearing Room

U.S. Senator Ben Sasse announced that a member of his staff will be hosting a Mobile Office on Thursday, January 30th in Broken Bow.

These office hours will provide Nebraskans with a face-to-face opportunity to speak with a member of Senator Sasse’s staff about federal government-related issues. A constituent services representative will be on hand to offer guidance and aid to Nebraskans who require help navigating Washington’s federal bureaucracy.

The same services are offered by the Senator’s staff in each of his state offices. Constituent services representatives can be reached at 402-476-1400.

2020 Nebraska LEAD Alumni Conference

The annual conference of the Nebraska LEAD Alumni Association
will be held in Grand Island on Saturday, February 1 st . Registration will begin at 8:30 am at the Case IH Plant (3445 Stolley Park Road, Grand Island). The conference, titled: ‘2020 Vision for the Future’ will focus on topics including Ag education initiatives, alternative Ag, and new technology in agriculture.
Tours of the Case IH plant, The Grain Place and Prairie Hills Vineyard will take place in the afternoon, followed by a surprise keynote speaker and dinner at the plant.
The LEAD Alumni Association Annual Meeting will be held during the lunch hour.
This event is open to alumni of the Nebraska LEAD Program, and to Ag-adjacent industry and partners. Participants may register at:

26th Annual Home & Garden Show @ Hamilton County Fairgrouds

Join us for our 26th Annual Home & Garden Show!

Show Hours:  Saturday, Febr 8, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Sunday, Febr 9, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Nearly 100 booths will house exhibitors displaying a variety of products and services for your home and garden.  The show will be held in the Farr building at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Aurora, with concessions available.

The commercial building will house the Saturday afternoon “Hops & Grapes” event starting @ 2:00 p.m.  The event features Nebraska craft beers and wines, provided by Banana Rams of Hordville.  Musical entertainment starting @ 5:00 p.m., followed by a live performance from “Mojo Filter” starting @ 8:00 p.m.

Sunday’s “Crafts & More” event will be held in the Ag Auditorium from 11:00 a.m.  to 4:00 p.m., featuring over 30 booths w/ homemade crafts and home-based businesses.

Admission is FREE for the Home Show, Saturday’s Health Fair and Sunday’s “Crafts and More” event.

The Home Show is sponsored by the Hamilton County Ag Society.
